Definition of a Breast Augmentation…

Breast augmentation is one of the oldest and safest cosmetic surgical procedures performed around the world today. With a simple implant behind the breast, you can enjoy a fuller bust line, firmer breasts and the kind of symmetry you have always desired. No wonder this procedure remains one of the most popular in a field crowded with effective choices. By inserting an implant behind each breast, surgeons are able to increase a bust line by one or more bra cup sizes. If you're considering breast augmentation, please read on to gain a basic understanding of the procedure, when it can help, how it's performed, and what results you can expect.

Plastic Surgery and Exercise

After you have surgery, your body has to have time to heal. You want to maintain your healthy figure, but you must be patient. The time a patient resumes regular exercises varies based on the operation performed. All patients are encouraged to start a slow walking routine by the second postoperative day. Regular aerobic and more vigorous activities are not allowed until after the first 2 weeks. This will decrease the risks of bleeding, swelling, and bruising. As for weight lifting or contact sports, they will be allowed after 1 month in most cases.

Breast Asymmetry Issues

The decision to add breast volume or reduce breast volume to improve breast asymmetry depends on the goals of the individual. In either case, the outcome of balancing breast size between the breasts, breast surgery is enhancing and most patients are pleased with the results. The size and projection of the nipple may also add to an asymmetric appearance of the breasts. In addition, some women with breast asymmetry have breast droopiness which can further implicate the appearance of asymmetric breasts.

Breast Augmentation Can Improve The Appearance Of Your Breasts

While watching t.v. I came across a show that talked about many different celebrities and how they had gotten breast implants, or breast augmentation surgeries. I had always wondered how a procedure like that works and so I decided to search the internet for more information on this surgery.

After browsing for a little while I found a website called drbucky.com and on this website we learned that "Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure that uses implants to increase the size and/or improve the shape of your breasts." and that "This allows for a result that enhances the appearance of your breasts and provides for a safe long lasting outcome. Breast augmentation is the management of a patient’s expectations with their body’s limitations."

I am glad that I searched for more information on this subject because now I know a lot more than I did before.

Collagen injections for you…

Collagen, also know as Zyderm® and Zyplast®, is a safe non-surgical approach to replacing the skin's natural collagen and smoothing out facial lines. These lines are caused by the wearing down of your skin's natural collagen, which is a network of fibers providing the supporting structure for your skin. Collagen Replacement Therapy helps to smooth facial lines and augment the skin by supplementing the collagen under the skin. Collagen can be injected in vertical lip lines and along the edge of the lip to enhance the definition of the lip border and make the lips appear fuller and more youthful.

Beverly Hills Treatment of Gynecomastia

More men will develop gynecomastia than will not, and of those who undergo breast reduction for men, more men are now looking at additional procedures at the same time. Most commonly, these men are receiving liposuction of the waist, love handles, and stomach, followed by liposuction of the chin and otoplasty. Why is plastic surgery becoming more common for men? Part of the cause may be today’s competitive business environment, which puts pressure on many men to look younger and more vigorous. Looking thinner and more fit is a boost professionally as well as socially.

There are two methods of treating gynecomastia. Cutting away unwanted tissue, or excision, used to be the only option. Liposuction is more commonly associated with body contouring around the waist, but is quite useful in addressing fat deposits of the chest. Excision is still necessary for firmer glandular gynecomastia tissue. Most patients will need some combination of excision and liposuction. Since surgery of any kind involves some risk, schedule a consultation with a board certified surgeon to learn more. With his experience in cosmetic surgery for men, Dr. Steven Teitelbaum can help you in making the decisions that are right for you.
